I cut myself to know that I sparkle.

comic_06

This is somewhat based off of a conversation I had with my little sister. Before I knew that she was reading the series, Twilight had been (and still is) the butt of many jokes in my circles because when I grew up vampires were terrifying, soul-less minions of Satan who easily enchanted their prey in order to suck out every last drop of their hapless victim’s blood (lol, Maxwell House commercial popped into my head). They burst into flames in the sunlight, not sparkle. Twilight’s breed of vampires could hardly be called “vampires”. The thought of having the main character be an emo, misunderstood “vampire” who just wanted to be loved by someone was pretty sickening as well.

Here’s a link making fun of the book.

When I saw the book laying around the house, I was devastated and demanded to know whose book it was. The comic picks up the story from there.

>_> Lately I’ve been having a hard time watching Skip Beat with a straight face. That is sparklingest anime evar, second only to Earl and Fairy,  and I never really paid that much attention to the sparkles, but now I realize it happens two-three times a scene.

    Nina,
Why in the world did you make me into a sailor moon minion?!? I can’t really argue that Edward isn’t emo, but he can’t cut himself! The knife would break first! And i am NOT a four year old!!! Why on earth did you make me a sailor moon minion?!? I have absolutely no idea why my older sister thinks that I am a ‘kawaii-chan’, and I’m a little creeped out by it… Oh, and while I’m at it, WHY IN THE WORLD DID YOU MAKE ME A SAILOR MOON MINION?!? On the other hand, your kawaii wittle sissy is vewy happy that you are now listening to the book, though :) I have probably read this book at least twenty times by now, so trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
    -Seiraa?

hahahahahah. Nice. Your drawings are improving alot. This definitely was one of the funniest ones, imo. Whilst I know many of us have watched the outrageous anime genres like Sailor Moon. I dare not pick up or even think about the series twilight or my brain my sizzle and dissolve into a state that causes me to transform into some absent-minded creature that rends anything that sparkles asunder. ^^; You should update more, yo’s.

    Stephen-
I know I need to update more ;__; I may do a couple more the rest of the semester but it really depends on my course load. I had to draw something this past week to keep my head from exploding. The compilers class that I’m taking right now is really stressing me out >_< Thanks for your encouragement though! I really appreciate it.
